Death
Marilyn Furr, 78, of Hughesville, MD, formerly of Temple Hills, MD, died May 14, 2010 at Washington Hospital Center. Born July 12, 1931 in Fort Worth, Texas, she was the daughter of Compton Barbee and Roma Perry Barbee. She operated Willie's Delicatessen on 9th St., N.W. in Washington, D.C. for 20 years. She was also employed by Safeway Food Stores. Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, William Edwin Furr and son, William Edwin Furr. She is survived by her son, Andrew Furr and daughters, Robbie Marie Watts, Sherie Lynn Kaloz and Donna Lane Furr-Donn; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Donna Furr-Donn or Andrew Furr in memory of Marilyn Furr at P.O. The family will receive friends today, May 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, June 11, at 11 a.m.
