Death
Ann Summers Thompson, 92, of Greensboro, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Carriage House Senior Living Community. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at eleven in the morning at First Presbyterian Church Chapel. A reception will follow in the Redhead Hall at the church. Annabelle was born January 7, 1924 in Clarksburg, W.Va. to Ora Bus (O.B.) and Blanche Mergie (Ma) Furr Summers. Arch and Ann Thompson moved to Elkins, West Virginia in 1950 and lived there until 2010 when they moved to Greensboro. She was married for 73 years to her husband Arch, age 94 who survives her; also surviving is her son Steve from Springville, Utah; son Mark from Washington, D.C., and daughter Jennifer from Atlanta; 5 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Nicka Thornton in 2012 and 2 great great grandchildren. Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel is assisting the Thompson family.Endnotes
