Death
Robert Hutchins Jan. 1, 1916-April 12, 2003 Robert Hutchins, 87, Danville, Ind., died 12:30 a.m. Saturday in Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville. Mr. Hutchins formerly operated Hutchins’ Brothers Mineral Plant at Hillsboro. He retired Jan. 1, 1981 from his job as branch manager at Greencastle Production Credit Association. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Danville and graduated from Veedersburg HIgh School in 1933. He was born Jan. 1, 1916, at Veedersburg, to Robert and Mildred Bright Hutchins. He married Genevieve Furr in 1938. She died in 1969. He then married Jennie Maltsberger on May 30, 1970. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Marsha Hutchins, Indianapolis, and Paula Innis, Durham, Mo.; a son, David, Casper, Wyo.; a stepson, Merlin Maltsberger, Rockville; a grandson; a stepgrandson; and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Eva Marie Ross and Roberta Snyder, and a brother, Daniel, are deceased. Graveside services are scheduled 11 a.m. today in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Ron McDugle officiating. Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, is in charge of arrangements.Endnotes
