Death

Patricia (Patty) Marie Snellings, 68, passed away on December 6, 2018, after living with the challenges of cancer. Formerly of Manassas VA, Patty moved to the Fredericksburg area to be closer to her family. She was proceeded in death by her parents George and Lois Furr, and her brother Timothy Furr. Patty is survived by her son Brian Snellings, daughter Lisa Matula (Danny) and sister Janice Coffman (William), and blessed with her 3 grandchildren, Hallie Snellings and Dale and Avery Matula. She is also survived by 3 nephews , 2 nieces , and several cousins. Patty enjoyed over a thirty-year career with George Mason University, where she served as Marketing and Public Relations Director. She was most proud of her significant contributions towards showcasing the Biomedical research agenda and the achievements of its scientists. Patty’s favorite times were those spent with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, photography and her Sweetwater Ladies Book group. The family welcomes friends to join them for a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 12pm, at Grace Church of Fredericksburg, 1141 Heatherstone Dr, Fredericksburg VA 22407.
