Death
Roy Wellington Furr, age 76, died at his home on Gnatty Creek, Tuesday, February 18, following a long illness. He was born September 28, 1881, a son of Marion and Mary Jane Hickman Furr. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ora Simon Furr of Volga Rt. 1; two daughters, Mrs. B.B. (Clarice) Spencer of Volga Rt. 1, and Mrs. B.L. (Marian) Fowler of Nutter Fork; three sisters, Mrs. Howard Bosley of Century, Mrs. Maude Chapman of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Erston Rohr of Buckhannon; and seven grandchildren. He was a member of the Mount Zion EUB Church at Teck's Run. Funeral services were held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in Philippi. Burial was made in the Mt.
