Death

Mildred Fay Furr, 84, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Arlington Hospital, Arlington. Mrs. Furr was born. Feb. 20, 1923, in Culpeper County, and was a daughter of the late Charles A. Jenkins and Fleda Dodson Jenkins. She was a homemaker and was a member of Novum Baptist Church in Reva. Her husband, Willie Ashby Furr, preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Ortiz of Arlington and Fleda Pugliese of Penn Laird; four sons, Charles Furr of Reva, Frederick Furr of Gordonsville, Willie A. Furr Jr. of Owings, Md. and Jimmie Woodward of Rixeyville; a brother, David B. Jenkins of Bealeton; three sisters, Christine Fincham of Warrenton, Florence Holland of Waynesboro, Ga., and Lillian Smith of Fort Pierce, Fla.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pastor Jeff Light will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Saturday at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway in Culpeper. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, where friends may also call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Friday. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
