Death
NORMAN, Evelyn Louise, 88, of Mechanicsville, Va., passed peacefully in her sleep at home, the morning of July 31, 2008. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 65 years, Walter W. Norman; her only daughter, Sylvia Jean Hoffman; her only granddaughter, Barbara Evelyn Talbott; two great-grandsons, Christopher and Matthew; a grandson-in-law, Stefan Talbott; and a treasured group of in-laws and other relatives, neighbors and special longtime friends from Virginia Power and Hanover Country Club. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, Rte. 301 and Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville (about 2 miles north of I-295). Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment, with a very brief service, will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, Va. All services will be brief and informal. Please dress comfortably for the very hot weather expected.
