LEETOWN, W.Va. - James Robert "Bobby" Chrisman, 73, of Leetown, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Walter W. and Annie L. Dodson Chrisman. He worked as a produce manager at Acme Market in Charles Town, W.Va., for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Summit Point United Methodist Church, where he was a past president of the Methodist Men, a member of the church choir and a Sunday school teacher. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Furr Chrisman; one son, Roger Chrisman of Inwood, W.Va.; two sisters, Helen Mason of Inwood and Martha Bradley of Leetown; four brothers, Raymond Chrisman, Pete Chrisman, Dick Chrisman and Garland Chrisman; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Elizabeth Ranalli, Louise Titus, Christine Miller, Betty Jean Chrisman and Doris Chrisman; and three brothers, Walter Chrisman, Ed Chrisman and William Chrisman. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Summit Point (W.Va.) United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home.
