Death

PARKERSBURG - Helene V. Furr, 66, of Parkersburg passed away March 23, 2004, at her residence. She was born Sept. 9, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clifford and Helen Kaminsky Alexander. She retired from Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital after 17 years of service as an LPN and she was a Catholic by faith. She enjoyed crafting, bird watching and reading. She is survived by one son, Herbert N. Furr and fiancee, Andrea Morris, of Parkersburg; five daughters, Diane McMichael and husband, Kim, of Cutler, Rebecca Buchanan and husband, Art, of Cairo, Sheryl Booth of Wirt County, Terri Furr and Christina Furr of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clifford Alexander and wife, Ernestine, of Alaska, Frank Molls and wife, Vera, of Cleveland and Loren Alexander of Grafton, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert R. Furr; two brothers, Leslie Alexander and Richard Kaminsky; and one sister, Patricia Plas. Services are tentatively scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
