Death

Ethel Lee Knoll, 83 of Midland, Passed away Thursday morning, December 26, 2024. She was born August 1, 1941 in Marlington, West Virginia, daughter of the late Carl and Olieva (Petts) Furr. After graduating from high school, Ethel attended Dyke College in Cleveland, Ohio. On January 27, 1960, she married Frank Knoll in Cleveland. For years, Ethel worked as a law and accounting clerk for several law offices and also ran her own picture framing business. She was an avid tennis player and also enjoyed a good game of Mahjong, both of which helped her meet new friends in the Midland area. Ethel is survived by her husband, Frank Knoll; daughter Gena (Joe) Rinckey; grandson Christopher and his family; as well as one brother. Funeral services for Ethel will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 from Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a charity of their choice.
