Death
Freeman J Furr, 88, 1120 Davis Ave., died at 12:30pm Friday in Union Hospital. He was former owner and operator of Furr's Fish Market. He was born August 3, 1896, in Missouri to Reed and Estella Furr. Survivors include one daughter Eileen McCombs, Terre Haute; five granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of World War I and wa a member of Dean Avenue Christian Church. Services are scheduled for 3 pm Monday in DeBaun Funeral Home, with the Rev Donald Osborn officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is after 4pm Sunday.Endnotes
