Death
Mary W. Furr, 78, of Berryville, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, in Loudoun Hospital Center. Mrs. Furr was born June 24, 1924, in Franklinton, N.C., the daughter of James and Flora Woodlief. She was retired from Springwood Psychiatric Hospital in Leesburg. She was married to Paul Foster Furr. Surviving are two daughters, Gwendolyn Morris of Berryville and Paula F. Rice of Goose Creek, S.C.; a sister, Annabelle Gadd of Sherrils Ford, N.C.; a brother, Leon Woodlief of Franklinton; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Ebeneezer Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Morris home in Berryville. Memorials may be made to Clarke County 4-H Leaders Association Scholarship Fund, c/o Helen Lawyer, 11 West Main St., Boyce 22620 or to John H. Enders Fire Company, 9 S.
