Death

Catherine Thomasina Furr, 63, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on September 17, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Cathie was born on October 14, 1957 in New York, NY to Geatano and Lucetta Perchiano (predeceased).  After moving to Alexandria she met Mark in high school, and they wed in May of 1980.  She is survived by Mark (husband), Lucetta, Jason, Sabrina, Raymond (children), Sal, Tamara (siblings), and Vaughn, Walker, Koa, Dominic (grandchildren).  Cathie dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She made it her mission to see her loved ones fulfill their dreams.  Cathie was passionate about many things.  When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in the office elbows deep in about 5 different organizations she helped run.  She will be missed greatly.  The funeral mass will be held on October 2nd, 1:00pm at St. Elizabeth’s Ann Seton Catholic Church (12807 Valleywood Dr., Woodbridge, VA 22192) followed by a celebration of life at the church’s gathering hall.  The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to St. Elizabeth’s.
