Crawfordsville Journal Review 20 April 1946 p 2-- Hillsboro April 19 - Austin Livingood of HIllsboro received a message Thursday telling of the sudden death of his nephew Bert Furr, 65 who died at McCordsville east of Indianapolis Wednesday night following a stroke of paralysis. He was employed at a Farmers CoOp elevator, having moved there about a year ago after spending several years at New Richmond. He had been engaged in the elevator business about 40 years. His wife and daughter Miss Miriam Furr the latter a talented musician were in NY City at the time of his death. After his mother died he was reared in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kelin Livengood (sic) of near HIllsboro. He is survived by the widow, the daughter and a half-sister. He also leaves two uncles, Levi and Austin Livengood of this vicinity. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday at the McCary Mortuary at Fortville and burial will be at Fortville.Endnotes
