Death
Widow of the late David G. Bates at the residence of Enos Ripley. The deceased was an aunt of Mayor E.G. Newhall. She was a native of Kentucky and emigrated to Galena in 1826. The remains will be interred in the old City Cemetery.Galena Daily Gazette, Feb. 8, 1877
