Death
Services and burial for former Barberton resident Dorsey Furr were today in Okeechobee, Fla., where he had lived the last seven years. Mr. Furr, 73, died Monday in St. Mary’s Hospital, West Palm Beach, Fla., after a long illness. A motel owner in Okeechobee, he had lived most of his life in Barberton. He leaves his wife, Wilma: sons Rondall and Milford, both of Okeechobee and Marlin, Akron; daughter Mrs. Jean Berlin, Barberton: brother Gilbert, Spencer, W. Va.: sisters, Mrs. Josie Murphy, Glenville, W. Va., and Mrs. Goldie Cain, Clarksburg, W. Va., 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.The Akron Beacon Journal, Akron, Ohio, January 24, 1973
