Dr. John Brennon CULLEN
(December 5, 1814 - September 28, 1899)
On George Washington Cullen's birth certificate, his father, John is said to be a dentist. In the 1860 census in Mississippi, he is still a dentist.However, his sense of humor is illustrated in the 1880 census of Mississippi when he calls himself a "horticulturist" .The census taker marked this out and substituted, "farmer".He is called Dr. John Cullen on his tombstone. Linburn, Fannie Lee, several of his children and his parents, John and Winifred are buried at St. Peter's Cemetary in Oxford, MS
