Juanita was born in Indiana while her parents, Jeff and Bessie McFadden worked on the Kemp farm near Winchester, Indiana. David was born in 1914 in the farmhouse near Worthington, Ohio on the farm which Elmer and Edith farmed as tenants. He was about 10 years old when the family moved to Detroit.

Death
DAVID N. FURR, 77, of Lakeland died Wednesday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A native of Columbus, Ohio, he came to Lakeland from Winter Haven eight years ago. He owned and served as business executive and administrator for Finance System of Toledo, Ohio, and was a member of Temple United Methodist Church and the Kiwanis Club, both in Lakeland. He is survived by his wife, Juanita; two sons, Robert of Longwood and Karl of Kingston, Ontario; a daughter, Judy Williams of Sarasota; a brother, William of Inkster, Mick.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
