DANA — Services for Allen Lee Furr, 28, of 138 E. Eleven Road, who was pronounced dead early Wednesday morning at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Folkers Froelich Memorial Home in Minonk. The Rev. Mary Mallory will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 a.m. today at the funeral home. He was killed when his car was struck head-on by an eastbound car on Illinois Route 116. A 1976 graduate of Roanoke Benson High School, he attended Illinois Central College and was employed by Interlake of Pontiac. He formerly worked for Besser Industries of Roanoke and Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria. He was a member of Roanoke United Methodist Church and was an Eagle Scout. Born Dec. 10, 1957, in Peoria to Russell and Lavon Largent Furr, he married Pamela Cordray on March 18, 1978, in Roanoke. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Jaime, and two sons, Bryan and Eric, all at home; his parents of Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Reyd (Sandra) Dotson of Golden, Colo.; and his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. C. Allen and Mrs. and Mrs. C.O. Largent, all of Shelbyville.Journal Star, Peoria, Illinois, July 11, 1986
