Notes
Marriage
The M. E. Church South, at Bloomfield, Va., was the scene of a pretty wedding last Wednesday, when Miss Lillian Furr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Furr of Bloomfield, became the bride of Mr. Edgar F. Nelson of Washington, D. C. The Rev. O. E. Brown, pastor of the church, officiated. Friends and relatives of the contracting parties filled the church, which was very tastefully decorated for the occasion. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was becomingly attired in a traveling suit of brown broadcloth and carried a bouquet of bride roses. Miss Mabel Furr, her sister, was maid of honor, and was gowned in pink silk and carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds. Mr. Robert R. Munsey of Washington, D. C., was the best man. The ushers were Messrs. Arthur and Carlton Furr, William Waltman and Barnard Frazier. The wedding march was rendered by Miss Mary B. Nelson, sister of the groom. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Nelson left for a trip north, after which they will reside in Washington. The bride was the recipient of a large number of beautiful and useful presents.Endnotes
