Death
Job Hunter Killed as He Walks Toward Home in New Augusta.Sixty-five-year-old James Frederick Furr is dead today, the victim of a hit-and-run driver as he walked along U. S. Highway 52 last night toward his New Augusta home after a day of job hunting in Indianapolis. He is the eighteenth Marion County traffic fatality this year. His body was found by Mr. and
Mrs. John Starky, Zionsville. A fractured skull caused his death. A bachelor, Mr. Furr lived with his brother, Omer Furr, who said the victim had been in search of work as a painter. Deputy sheriffs said it was probable that Mr. Furr could have been hit by a truck trailer and that the driver proceeded unaware of the accident.
