Death
He had came to Monmouth (The Maple City) from Kentucky in the early 60's. He was born in that state Oct 17, 1833 and was just 5 days over 73yrs old. He was engaged in the teaming business in Monmouth for many years and was well known and highly respected. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his death. The funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wed afternoon at the home. Rev. D.E. Hughes was in charge and internment was made at Monmouth Cemetery.Republican Atlas, Monmouth, Illinois, October 25, 1906
