Death
After an illness of a few days at the King’s Daughters’ hospital, Mrs. Lelia Belle Furr, wife of W. M. Furr, died Thursday morning at 6:45 o'clock. Mrs. Furr had spent most of her life in the county, of which she was a native. The Rev. S. R. Ludwig, pastor of the United Brethren church this city, of which Mrs. Furr was a member, will conduct the funeral services from the church Sunday afternoon. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baxter Myers; her husband, W. M. Furr; one daughter, Hazel May; three sisters, Clara Stella, Helen Frances, Mrs. William Robertson; a brother, Raymond William, and her grandmother, Mrs. John Myers, survive. Burial will be in Thornrose cemetery.The Daily News Leader, Staunton, Virginia, April 5, 1929
