On Saturday, June 25, 1938, at his residence, 812 North Jackson st.. Arlington, Va.. TIMOTHY A. SULLIVAN, beloved husband of Carrie E. Sullivan (nee Dodge) and father of Roy T.. Charles C. and Paul E. Sullivan, Mrs. Catherine Thomson, Mrs. Ruth Thomson, Mrs. Sarah Fisher and Mrs. Minnie E. Furr. Remains resting at his late residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 26, at 3 p.m. Interment Columbia Gardens Cemetery. [Evening Star (Washington, D.C.), 26 Jun 1938, Sunday, page 10]Timothy Sullivan owed T.A. Monuments, a business he started in Westernport, Maryland in 1885 and that he relocated to Washington, D.C. and then to Arlington, Virginia. He was active in Columbia Masonic Lodge No. 285. He and Carrie had nine children, 23 grandchildren and at least 76 great grandchildren. He was orphaned young and raised by John W. and Margaret Eaton in Montgomery County, Maryland.
