David Jackson RITTENOUR
(June 16, 1843 - January 10, 1925)
David J. Ritenour, a thrice wounded soldier in the Army of the Confederacy, at his home in Toms Brook Jan. 10, aged 81 years. He served in Co. B 33rd Virginia Regiment Stonewall Brigade and was wounded in the head at Chancellorsville and twice in the hips at Bull Run,
carrying the bullets that infliced the wounds throughout the remainder of his life. After the war he married Miss Regina Bauserman who survives, three sons and four daughters, and one brother William Ritenour of Manassas and one half sister Mrs. Susan Ritenour of Front Royal.
