Edward Holman Crane went to his eternal home in Heaven to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday September 17 2017 Sheila G. Crane his beloved wife of 28 years E receded Ed in death Ed will be deeply missed by his three daughters, stepdaughter, son-in-law, twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous friends Ed was a full-time resident of beautiful Marco Island for 30 years of which 25 were at Hideaway Beach He spent the last two years of his life as a resident of Arden Courts of Lely Palms in Naples FL. Born March 26, 1929, in Brooklyn NY, Ed was the son of Edward Villeroy Crane and Eleanor Robinson Crane. He graduated from Yale University, served two years with the United States Air Force in Newfoundland and returned to Yale where he completed his law degree. Ed was a real estate attorney for Thompson Hine and Flory in Cleveland OH for a number of years where he became a partner in the firm. He subsequently became Vice President and General Counsel for the Richard E Jacobs Group. It gave him great satisfaction to be part of the growing retail industry through the development of regional shopping malls throughout the United States. After working nearly 20 years with The Jacobs Group, Ed retired and moved to his beloved Marco Island His hobbies included boating and investing. He was a member of Marco Island Presbyterian Church for 19 years and served as a deacon.The Naples Daily News, Naples, Florida, September 23, 2017
