Death

Mellott - Virginia Lee (Keller) Pattengale, 83, formerly of Mellott and had been residing in the Brickyard Healthcare Center, Kokomo, passed away in the Brickyard Healthcare on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 8:33 a.m. Virginia was born in near Veedersburg in Fountain County, Indiana on June 13, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Vernell Keller and Margaret (Furr) Keller Austin. She was raised in Mellott, graduating from Richland Township High School. She has lived most of her life in Mellott, before moving to Kokomo. Virginia formerly worked as a CNA at the VA Medical Healthcare Center in Danville, IL. She later transferred to The Waters of Covington and retired from the Williamsport Healthcare Center in Williamsport as a CNA. Virginia was a member of the Church of Christ in Mellott. She enjoyed working puzzle books, cooking, baking and crocheting. Virginia leaves behind a daughter, Tracy (Keith) Nelson, Laotto, IN; a son, Darrell (Debbie) Pattengale, Washington, IN; four grandchildren, Kayla (Justin) Shelly, Dylan (Rhiannon) Ashmore, Brandy (Steven) Priest and Randy Pattengale; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, David (Brenda) Keller, Mellott; Michel Keller, Chalmers, IN and Vernon (Sue) Keller, Peru, IN. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Pattengale and two brothers, Keith and Kenneth Keller. Friends may gather at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, October 7th, from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial service time at 4:00 p.m. with her niece, Pastor Carla Elliott officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
