Death
Henry L. Woodrum, 74, of Kingman, died at 5:35 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2005, in St. Clare Medical Center in Crawfordsville. Born December 2, 1930, in Eugene, he was the son of Ralph and Daisy Weir Woodrum. His wife, Harriett Kaleen Andrew Woodrum, whom he married September 30, 1960, in Kingman, survives. He was a logger and saw mill operator in the Kingman area and had served in the Army during the Korean War. Survivors include three daughters, Mary McCollum of Covington, Sandy Woodrum of Veedersburg, and Rita Furr of Kingman; one son, Henry Eugene Woodrum of Kingman; three sisters, June Naylor of Cayuga, Gertrude Scarbrough of Terre Haute and Lena O'Conner of Marcellaus, Michigan; two brothers, David Woodrum of South Bend and Frank Woodrum of Brazil; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one infant son; two brothers, John Woodrum and Dale Woodrum; and two sisters, Elva Kiger and Darlene Williams. Funeral services were Friday, August 26, in DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial was in Rush Creek Cemetery in Tangier with military graveside rites conducted by Newport American Legion Post 184.
