Death

Mrs. Rilla Blanche Crist, 83, of Harrisonburg died Thursday night at Virginia Mennonite Home. She had been in poor health for several years and had lived at the Mennonite Home since 1961. She was born Aug. 20, 1893 in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late John Michael and Mary Margaret Kerlin Flory. Mrs. Crist spent her early life in the Dayton-Bridgewater communities, and later lived in Baltimore for 12 years. In 1927 she moved to Harrisonburg. Mrs. Crist was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Unity Bible Class of the church. On Dec. 29, 1915 she married Sidney R. Crist, who died several years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donald C. Bowman of Harrisonburg; two sons, John Richard Crist of Yorktown and Paul R. Crist of Harrisonburg; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
