Marriage
The Church of Our Savior, at Broad Run, Fauquier county, Va., was the scene of a beautiful wedding last Tuesday evening, when Miss Bertha Cleopa Furr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Craig Furr, and John Walter Carlysle Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Johnson of Louisa, Va., were marriedby Rev. Robert White. The bride wore white georgette crepe over taffeta with
cascaded empire train of ivory satin. A flowing veil of tulle was caught with
lilies of the valley. She carried a prayer book with a shower of lilies of the valley and bride roses. The bride was accompanied by her sister. Miss Audrey Mae Furr. who was gowned in orchid satin and tulle trimmed with silver lace, with Quaker hat of cloth of silver and orchid velvet and cloth of silver shoes. She carried lavender sweet peas. The groom's sister, Mrs. Cosby Robertson of Cambridge. Md., who was dame of honor, was attired in embroidered chiffon over white satin with a large picture hat of white and yellow and carried white sweet peas. The bridesmaids were Miss Margarette Fur, sister of the bride; Miss Mildred Woodward of West Point. Va., and Misses Nelle Hiner and Virgie Crosby.
