WILLIAMSBURG — Five-year-old Peter Douglas Furr drowned Wednesday in a private swimming pool in the Queen’s Lake area of York County. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Warwick R. Furr II of 219 West Queen’s Drive, the youngster accidentally fell into a swimming pool at 223 West Queens Drive. The body was discovered by two playmates. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Martin's Episcopal Church with the Rev. James Green, pastor of the Church of the Resurrection in Alexandria, officiating. A private committal service will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, two brothers, Timothy and Stephen, and a sister, Amy, all at home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Williamsburg Community Hospital fund for indigent children.
