Death

Mary Ellen Furr of Middleburg Virginia passed away at home on Oct. 18, 2022 at the age of 83. Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband George Furr, her parents and her brothers Tommy and David Peregoy. Mary Ellen was born in Middleburg on lime kiln road. In her younger years her family moved to Alexandria Virginia. There she lived until her marriage to George Furr. She had three children, James Walter Furr, Cynthia Lee Greene and John Delma Furr all of Middleburg Va. Maryellen, also traveled the USA with her husband in the pursuit of their love for horses. Her heart was dedicated to Lllangollen Farm for whom she worked for over the years. After her husbands death she became a driver for Foxcroft School for 20 years, then she became a caregiver for a good friend. She is survived by her sister Linda Fisher, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchild. Many family members and friends will miss her lively spirit. A graveside memorial service will be held in the near future, please refrain from flowers until then. She is to be laid to rest at the Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville Va.
