Death
Furr, Donley L., Lansing. Born April 24, 1915 in Sterling, IL; died December 22, 2000 at the age of 85. Mr. Furr was a veteran of World War II having served with the United States Army Air Corps during the Italian Campaign flying B-17s with the 85th Bombardment Squadron as a 1st Lieutenant. He retired in 1975 from the Federal Aviation Agency as a Flight Planner after 30 years of faithful service and was a member of Grace Brethren Church of Lansing. Mr. Furr was preceded in death by 2 sons, Larry in 1980 and Dennis in 1991, and daughter, Donna Lea in 1938. Surviving are Ellen A. (Ditto), his wife of 64 ears; 1 son, John R. (Karen) Furr of Lansing; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2000 at 4 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, with Pastor Mick Rockafellow officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Genoa Cemetery, Genoa, IL. The family will receive friends at the Chapel on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Grace Brethren Church, 3904 W.
