Mr. Elwood William Bowser, 71, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2007. He was born in Alum Bank, PA, on April 6, 1935. Mr. Bowser was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin & Trella Bowser and two brothers, Lem Bowser and Lester Bowser. Mr. Bowser was retired from General Motors where he was an assembly line worker for 25 years. He loved music and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jessie Mae Watkins Bowser, Douglasville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Susan & James Furr, III, Lithia Springs, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Steve Squires, Douglasville, GA, daughter, Bonnie Craton, Douglasville, GA, son & daughter-in-law, Blu & Kip Wilson, Temple, GA, son, James "Butch" Lowe, Atlanta, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Diane & Billy Spriggs, Rome, GA, and son, R. L. Wilson, Rome, GA; brothers, Roy Bowser, Washington, Eugene Bowser, W. Virginia, Fred Bowser, Pennsylvania, Chester Bowser, Pennsylvania, and Raymond Bowser, Kansas; sisters, Fern Miner, Washington, Blanche Smith, Montana, Mable Helbig, Pennsylvania, and Lucy Long, Pennsylvania; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from Hightower's Memorial Chapel, on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 12:00 noon, with Pastor Michael G. Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm.
