Death
Frank H. McLain was born at Fairfield, Iowa, June 14th, 1861, departed this life December 31st, 1931, at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 17 days. When a boy he moved with his parents and brother and sister to Silver City, Nevada, where his father died in 1876. The following year the mother and children moved to Nebraska locating near Indianola. The deceased has resided continuously in Nebraska since that time, many years being spent at Imperial in Chase county. In the year 1888 he was united in marriage to Phoebe J. Biggs at Imperial who passed away in 1906. To this union four children were born, two dying in infancy. In 1907 Mr. McLain was married to Nina B. Furr, who with two sons, Floyd of Omaha, Paul of Culbertson, and a brother, Harry of Arkansas survive him. The Reporter joins the community in the general grief at the passing of one of our most respected and well loved citizens. And we extend our sincere sympathy to Mrs. McLain and the two sons in their sorrow.Red Willow County Reporter, Indianola, Nebraska, January 7, 1932
