Death
Mr. Richard Lee "Rocky" Duvall, 37, of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., died Thursday, Feb. 21, at his home. He was the husband of Christina Dawn Stottlemyer Duvall, his wife of five years. Born June 20, 1964, in Frederick, he was a son of Betty Lou Furr Duvall of Frederick, and the late Donald Eugene Duvall Sr. Mr. Duvall had worked as a truck driver for BFI for the past six years. He was a member of the Frederick Eagles Club. Mr. Duvall loved to go fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of the late Dale Earnhardt. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are one son, Brandon R. Duvall of Pennsylvania; one sister, Tracie L. Duvall of Woodsboro; one brother, Donald E. Duvall Jr. of Frederick; four nieces and nephews, Ashley Fisher of Frederick, and Jesse Dalton, Emma Dalton and Brady Cooper, all of Keedysville; three uncles, William Duvall, Gary Duvall and Leroy Duvall, all of Frederick; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Clayton and Dee Dee Dalton, and Roy and Valerie Cooper, all of Keedysville; and his wife Christina's parents, Patricia Stottlemyer of Jefferson, and Scotty Stottlemyer and wife Cecelia of Harpers Ferry. Mr. Duvall will also be remembered by his sister Tracie's friend, Todd Sharrer of Woodsboro; and his friends Kevin King of Thurmont, Gene Goodsell of Frederick, and Jim Starner of Hagerstown. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, with the Rev. Wendell McClellan, of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Gapland, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
