Death
Herbert C. Niemann was born in Beatrice, Neb, July 26, l898, and departed this life Sunday morning, January 12, 1941, at the age of 42 years, five months and 19 days. He was reared and educated in this city and upon reaching maturity began work with the Dempster company, first as an office employe and later as a salesman, for a number of years. Later he worked for the Wayne Pump company, and lastly for the Darkendorf Equipment company. His headquarters and the family residence had been at Sioux Falls, S.D. for the past ten years. In 1918 he professed faith In Christ and was baptized by Rev. Autrit of the West Side Baptist church. On October 5, 1920, he was joined in marriage to Miss Faye Stroud, of Haddam, Kas. To this union three daughters were born, the eldest, Lorraine Helen, preceding the father at the age of 5 in 1926. Surviving are his wife and two daughters, Edna, aged 17, and Marilyn, aged 12; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Niemann of this city; a sister, Mrs. C. F. Miller and Leslie K., brother, both of Beatrice; and two other brothers; William G. of Denver, Colo., and Milton J. of Hebron. Neb.
