Notes
Death
Williams, Darlene Lois (Furr), Darlene was born on August 29, 1937 at home on So. Claudina Street in Anaheim, California. Darlene died from pneumonia on December 12, 2015 from complications of lung and kidney failure. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jo Pat Sr.; her son, Jo Pat Jr.; her daughter, Heather L. Edwards; her sister, Kathleen Hazen; her grandsons, Jo Pat Williams III and Raymond Nobles; her granddaughters, Sommer Wrigley, Morgan Jaime, Madalyn Nobles, Hanna Edwards; and her nine great grandchildren, Cydney Sexton, Chloe Wrigley, Adam Wrigley, Peyton Wrigley, Alexis Hardy, Axel Jaime, Angelo Jaime, Abielle Jaime and Jo Pat Williams 4th. She was injured in an auto accident in the summer of 1955 and spent her senior year of high school in bed in a body cast. She graduated from Anaheim High School in 1956. After high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Jo Pat Williams, Sr. on August 3, 1956. She had two children - Jo Pat, Jr. and Heather L. Edwards. Darlene was a California Licensed Cosmetologist and worked in numerous hair salons in Orange County. Her husband was transferred to Mohave Generation Station in 1977, and Darlene continued to work at home until she was able to get an Arizona Cosmetologist License. While in Arizona, she had a home on the Sunshine Marina, a twenty-one foot cruiser and often went water skiing with her family on the Colorado River. She loved to travel, and when her husband purchased an airplane, she enjoyed being the co-pilot and with time, navigated him to Oshkosh Wisconsin by way of Green Bay and as far north as Campbell River on Vancouver Island in Canada. In her later years, we traveled by motorhome and many cruise ships with the Shriner of El Bekal Shrine. She enjoyed the El Bekal Nomads and their many trips together. Although she was small, she could hold her own driving the big rig. She will be missed for her ready smile and happy outlook on life, never missing a chance to say hello or pass on information to her friends and family. She never met a stranger.Orange County Register, Orange County, California, December 29, 2015
