Death

Dorothy (Dot) Meadows, 78, passed away on Wednesday, November 25th, at Bath Manor nursing home in Akron. She is survived by her son, Kevin Furr and ex-husband, Carol Furr, both of Akron; her son, Mark Furr (Tina Ferrato) of Princeville, Hawaii; and her twin brother, Don Egbert of Wooster, Ohio. Dot was born in Wooster, but was a long-time resident of Kenmore, where she worked at Zoe Ann's Beauty Salon for many years. The family would like to thank Zoe and Fama, two of Dot's oldest friends, for being with her as she passed on Wednesday afternoon at Bath Manor. Dot always had a small dog running around the house, so she also leaves behind her dog, Rusty, who lives with Kevin. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, November 29 ,2015 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, where a memorial service will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In accordance with Dot's wishes, there will be no viewing, as she expressed her desire to be cremated without a viewing. The Schlup Pucak Funeral Home is honored to serve the Meadows Family.
