Death
Robert Lee Brammer, age 72, of Rixeyville, formerly of Manassas, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at his residence. He was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Greenbrier County, W.Va., to the late Ivan Brammer and Dorothy Bostic Brammer. Mr. Brammer was a member and trustee of Maranatha Baptist Church. He truly loved his church, his family and especially adored his grandchildren. Mr. Brammer enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Nancy Brammer; and ten children, Patricia Cales and husband Jim of Talcott, W.Va., Connie Furr and husband Roy of Amissville, Robert John Brammer of Amissville, Richard Brammer, Frank Brammer, Joe Brammer, Tommy Brammer, and James Brammer and wife Kim, all of Manassas, David Brammer of Rixeyville, and Tim Brammer and wife Lisa of Rapidan. Additional survivors include nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four step grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maranatha Baptist Church, Amissville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at the church with Pastor Albert Payne, Pastor Vinton Williams, and Pastor Denver Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, in Jeffersonton. Pallbearers will be Roy D. Furr II, Wesley Howell, Ed Rodger, James Cales, Dustin Frock, and Terry Cubbage. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert John Brammer and James Brammer. Memorial contributions may be made, in his name, to the Maranatha Baptist Church Mission Fund, P.O. Box 193, Amissville, VA 20106.
