Death
Walter Hampton Craun, 86, of the 100 block of Stacie Dr., Elizabeth City, died Friday, June 27, 2014 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Born in Loudoun, Va., he was the son of the late Preston Hampton Craun and Mae Furr Craun and the beloved husband of 70 years to Audrey Moore Craun. Mr. Craun was a construction worker for commercial pools. Mr. Craun was the beloved father to a son, Delbert Hampton Craun and wife, Tamra, of Stephen's City, Va. and a daughter, Barbara Scribner of Currituck; he is also survived by a brother, Samuel Craun of Port Orange, Fla.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. There are no services planned at this time. Twiford Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is serving the Craun family.
