Death
Ray M. Legge, age 75 of Kenton, passed away at 11:01 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton. He was born on July 10, 1938 in Allen County, the son of Harold R. and Irene (Risner) Legge. His mother survives in Kenton. On September 26, 1959, he married Billie Mae Manns and she survives. Ray is survived by his sons, Tim Legge of Kenton, OH, Ted (Tammy) Legge of Kenton, OH, and Eric (Nichole) Legge of Kenton, OH; daughters, Anita (Richard) VanBuskirk of Kenton, OH and Lora (Jeff) Furr of Kenton, OH; 23 grandchildren; 14 gt. grandchildren; brothers, David (Carol) Legge of Kenton, OH and James (Janice) Legge of Kenton, OH; sisters, Betty Helton of Kenton, OH, Mary Herron of Kenton, OH, and Peggy Huber of Kenton, OH. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Legge and brother, William Legge. Ray was a welder at the Broderick Co. in Kenton for 26 years and worked at Owen Illinois in Findlay for 7 years. He was a member of the Kenton Full Gospel Church, a lifetime member of the Hardin County Coon Hunters Club, and was a licensed minister. He loved God, loved spending time with his grandchildren and being in the outdoors fishing and hunting. Funeral services for Ray M. Legge will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Kenton Full Gospel Church in Kenton with Pastor Earnest Manns officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME and 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family of Ray Legge in care of the funeral home.
