GENE LANDRESS 55, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007, in Avon Park. He was born in Avon Park to James Talmage and Mary Evelyn (Henderson) Landress. He was a citrus inspector for the State Department of Agriculture of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Avon Park. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Landress of Avon Park; daughter, Katherine Page Landress of Avon Park; son, Kiel Henderson Landress of Avon Park; sister, Diane Lemler of Avon Park; brother, Craig Landress of Avon Park; granddaughter, Daisy Lorraine Landress. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, in the First Baptist Church. Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Vernon Harkey officiating. In lieu of flowers, family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Avon Park Community Child Development Center.
