CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Elizabeth M. Riddleberger, 98, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Shenandoah Health Village Center in Charles Town. Born Nov. 3, 1900, in Richardsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late James B. and Mary E. Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Aikens; and her second husband, Benjamin H. Riddleberger. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Charles Town Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Leetown Farm Woman's Club. She is survived by a brother, Staley Rodgers of Arlington, Va.; three granddaughters, Judy Furr Edwards, Cheri Moran and Jacque DeChristophero; a grandson, Norval Furr; six great-grandchildren; and a niece. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Dorothy A. Furr and Mary Margaret Johnson; two sisters, Carrie Rodgers and Margaret Harold; and a brother, James Rodgers. Graveside services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town. The Rev. William Everhart will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 to 11a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town. Memorial donations may be made to Charles Town Presbyterian Church, 220 E. Washington St., Charles Town, WV 25414.Endnotes
