Mrs. Irma Mae Furr, 54, of Rt. 7, Crawfordsville and formerly of Veedersburg, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., where she had been admitted the night before. Mrs. Furr was a member of the First Baptist Church at Crawfordsville, the Royal Neighbors Lodge and Pythian Sisters. She was born in Mitchell, Ind., March 13, 1913, a daughter of John and Florence (Strange) Smith. She married Cash C. Furr of Veedersburg Aug. 16, 1935. Mr. Furr is the only survivor. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Sever Mortuary at Veedersburg with Rev. Ivan Steed officiating. Interment will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary between 2 and 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. today.Endnotes
