Death

Crawfordsville Journal-Review Nov 16, 1967 p 4 Newell Furr, 86, of 801 S. Green Street, died at 5 p.m. Saturday in Camen Nursing Home after a three-month illness. He had farmed most of his life in Oregon and Fountain County and for several years until retiring was employed at RR Donnelley. He was a native of near Veedersburg, born Dec 22, 1880, to A.R. and Ella Greenley Furr. He was married 3 times - in 1915 to Marjorie Bowers in Brownsville, Ore; she dying in 1946; next to Cora Hibbs, who died in 1951 and then Emma Linderman who died last September. Mr. Furr was a member of the First Methodist Church here. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. mabel Palmer of near Veedersburg and nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Little officiating and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
