Obituary:
Born March 14, 1948 to Don and Anita Nevin in Rice Lake, WI and died December 26, 2015 at his home in Menomonie following a 5+ year battle with cancer.

Bruce excelled at many things in his life and approached all that he did with a natural talent, most notably water skiing. His dad started him water skiing to strengthen his back at an early age after a minor case of polio, became a national level champion, and spent time in Sweden coaching their world water ski team directly out of high school. Upon returning from Sweden he married his high school sweetheart Robin Solberg. His daughter Turi was blessed with his skiing ability and was also ranked nationally.

Bruce grew up working at Nevin’s Carpets, then started his own business Computer Place. He ran that for 10 years before moving on to programming work for a variety of companies. His son Krister took on this talent, which he made his lifelong career.

Bruce is survived by his wife Robin, son Krister (Sandy) Nevin, daughter Turi (Jon) Turkel and granddaughter Kira and grandson Chapin; sister Joan (David) Soderberg and other relatives.

Service will be held for Bruce at First Congregational Church in Menomonie on Saturday January 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family with arrangements.
