Death

TURKEL--Dorothea, died January 11, 2017 at 93. Born and raised in Newark and lived most of her adult life in Croton. Predeceased by her beloved husband Herbert in 2012 and son Eric in 2001. She is survived by her daughter Judith and daughter-in-law Jennifer Costley. Worked for many years at Mental Health Association of Westchester County (MHA), was named Social Worker of the Year, graduated from NYU and The New York School of Social Work. A pianist, artist, advocate for children, community leader, and world traveler, Dorothea lived a long and wonderful life, for the past ten years at Kendal on Hudson. She will be missed by many. Memorial service at Kendal on January 28, 2017 at 11am. To honor Dorothea gifts to MHA or Kendal on Hudson are deeply appreciated.
