The Washinfton Herald, Thursday, March 23, 1916Ethel Tierkel Sued Morris H. Gill for Breach of Promise.
Morris H. Gill. who is said to be employed by the government in charge of engineering at Howard University, was sued, in District Supreme Court yesterday for $15,000 damages for allaged breach of promise to marry Miss Tierkel. of Philadelphia.
Ethel Tierkel says she met Mr. Gill on August 1. . . that she went
motoring with him; that several days later he proposed marriage and she
accepted; that the engagement was announced;
that she received a diamond ring: that an engagement reception
was held, and that all plans for the wedding were being made when Mr.
Gill broke the engagement. The plaitiff is repreented by Attorneys
l'avid Wiener. F. M. Pelzman, and Charles Wolf. of Washington. and
J. D. Leonard. of Philadelphia.
