Shlomo Leib Kaminker

(1843 - 1920)

When Shlomo Leib reached the age of 17, a new law was being decreed -
that all single males had to serve in the army. In order to avoid this, in 1860
a marriage was quickly arranged with Chaya Miriam, who was then all of 14 years old.
She was the daughter of Wolfe and Henele Leibel of Konich.
She had two brothers, Shai Leibel and Leibel Leibel.
Shai had four daughters - Nesha, Ethel, Bayla and Marium.
Leibel Leibel had Cheyim Simcha, one died, and others unknown.
These people were wealthy, ran a successful tavern (rented from the government -
the only way to do it in those days), and they also owned a fair amount of land
